Safeguarding and urgent help

1. If someone is at immediate risk

• Emergency services — call 999 if a child or adult is in immediate danger or needs urgent medical help.
• NHS 111 — call 111 for urgent health advice, including urgent mental health support.
• Samaritans — call 116 123, free, any time.
• Childline — 0800 1111 for children and young people.
• NSPCC helpline — 0808 800 5000 for adults worried about a child.
• Your local authority children's services — for a non-emergency concern about a child's safety or welfare in your area.

2. Our safeguarding lead

Our designated safeguarding lead is Jessica Buckle. If something you have seen or been told through our services makes you worried about a child or an adult at risk, contact her at jessica@simplifiedsupport.co.uk or on 0330 043 0263. Emails are read during normal working hours, so please use the numbers above for anything urgent.

3. What we do with a concern

Our safeguarding lead reviews the concern, records it securely, and decides what action is needed. Where there is a risk of significant harm we may share information with children's services, the police, or another agency — with consent where possible, and without consent where waiting would place someone at risk. We will be honest with you about what we are doing unless that would increase the risk.

4. The digital assistants and safeguarding

The assistants are information and drafting tools. They do not provide crisis, medical, legal or safeguarding advice, and no one reads your conversation at the time you write it. AI can be wrong or out of date, so check anything important before acting on it.

Please do not enter a child's name, school, address, date of birth or case number. Use general or anonymised details — the assistants work just as well without them. See our AI disclaimer and privacy policy for more.
